Shah Rukh Khan Turns 60: No “King” Teaser Yet, But Big Celebrations Ahead
As Bollywood’s beloved superstar Shah Rukh Khan prepares to celebrate his milestone 60th birthday on November 2, excitement among his fans has reached a fever pitch. Over the decades, SRK has redefined romance, charisma, and star power in Indian cinema — and even at sixty, his energy and connection with fans remain unmatched.
In the midst of all the buzz surrounding his upcoming projects, Shah Rukh took to social media for his trademark #AskSRK session — a fun and spontaneous online chat where he answers questions directly from fans. It was during this interactive exchange that he finally addressed the swirling rumours about the teaser for his next film, King.
No Teaser Yet, Just the Title Coming Soon
For weeks, social media had been abuzz with whispers that the first teaser of King would drop as a special birthday surprise. Fans were convinced that November 2 would bring them a glimpse of SRK’s new avatar. However, the superstar decided to clear the air in his inimitable, witty style.
When a fan excitedly asked, “King teaser DM karo sir,” Shah Rukh replied,
“Abhi title toh announce kiya nahi officially… tum teaser par kaise pahunch gaye!!!”
With that one humorous line, the actor shut down all speculation and confirmed that the title announcement will come before any teaser release. His comment not only reflected his trademark humor but also subtly hinted that the film’s promotional journey is still in its early stages.
“King” – A Family Affair
The much-awaited project King holds a special place in SRK’s heart for another reason — it reportedly marks the on-screen debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan, alongside him. Suhana recently made her acting debut in The Archies and is now set to share the screen with her legendary father for the first time.
When a user asked Shah Rukh about his experience working with Suhana, the actor’s reply melted hearts. “Apna apna sa lagta hai…” he said — a short but deeply emotional response that spoke volumes about the father-daughter bond and his pride in seeing her follow in his footsteps.
While not much is officially known about King, reports suggest that the film could be an action-thriller, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, SRK’s own banner. Directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously delivered hits like Pathaan and War, the movie is expected to blend high-octane sequences with the emotional depth SRK is famous for.
Celebrating 60 Years of Shah Rukh Khan
Even though the King teaser isn’t arriving yet, fans still have plenty to celebrate. To honor Shah Rukh Khan’s six-decade journey, PVR INOX has announced a special film festival showcasing some of his most iconic performances.
Starting October 31, seven of SRK’s classics will return to the big screen across India:
-
Chennai Express
-

-

-

-
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa
-

-

These films represent the many shades of Shah Rukh Khan — from the charming lover to the fierce action hero.
Reflecting on this celebration, SRK shared a heartfelt statement:
“Cinema has always been my home, and seeing these films return to theatres feels like a beautiful reunion. These movies are not just mine—they belong to the audience that has loved them for over 33 years. I’m grateful to PVR INOX and Red Chillies Entertainment for celebrating this journey with such warmth.”
