Eligibility
Candidates must have a Post Graduation Degree (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA and M.Tech (CSE & IT only) are eligible to apply, in the case of the Backward Classes/ Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Persons with Disability category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in PG is eligible for this Test or equivalent from a recognized Board/ University/ Institution.
The Ph.D. Degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19/09/1991 (irrespective of the date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (from 55% to 50%) for appearing in the SET.
Candidates having a PG Diploma awarded by an Indian University/ Institute or a Foreign Degree/ Diploma awarded by the Foreign University/ Institute should in their interest, ascertain the equivalence of their Degree/ Diploma with a Master’s Degree of recognized Indian universities from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
